ClubTest is the engine that helps drive our industry-changing See, Try, Buy initiative. This program is designed to guide your buying experience from initial research to final purchase.
So, what's the best driver for you? To find out, we had 40 Average Joes evaluate 27 drivers. Driver classifications are: Tour (appraised by testers with 2-10 handicaps), Game-improvement (7-17 handicaps) and Max Game-improvement (14-21 handicaps). Our exclusive research partner, Hot Stix Golf, custom-fit testers and recommended clubs based on data obtained using the Trackman launch monitor. Individual testers tried each model within a category on the course and driving range.
Each club review starts with a summation of the group's findings and then spotlights pros and cons in five key areas: Distance, Accuracy/Forgiveness, Feel, Playability and Look. Click on a driver below for more information, photos and videos. Once you've narrowed your choices, go to GolfTEC or Golfsmith for a custom fitting.
Since ClubTest 2011 was completed, several more drivers have started to arrive in pro shops. Although they have not gone through the ClubTest process (yet!), you can click on any driver below to learn all about the club:
