ClubTest is the engine that helps drive our industry-changing See, Try, Buy initiative. This program is designed to guide your buying experience from initial research to final purchase.
We enlisted 40 Average Joes to test 29 iron models at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. We divided irons into three categories: "Better-Player" (evaluated by ClubTesters with 2 to 10 handicaps), "Game-Improvement" (7-17) and "Max Game-Improvement" (14-21). Our exclusive research partner, Hot Stix Golf, custom-fit testers for proper lie angle, shaft flex, etc., using data captured with the TrackMan launch monitor. Individual testers tried each model within a category on the range and the course. Testers report on Playability, Accuracy/Forgiveness, Distance Control, Feel and Look.
