We tested: 50°/6°, 52°/7°, 54°/8°, 56°/10°, 56°/13°, 58°/10°, 60°/5°, 60°/8°, 64°/7° with True Temper Dynamic Gold Spinner steel shaft
Key Technologies: The patented forging process enhances the tightness of the metal grain for increased strength, feel and consistency. The milled face and "Quad Cut" grooves enhance spin.
OUR TESTERS SAY: One of the top models; classic look and feel; overall spin is a real asset.
PROS
PLAYABILITY: Spin seems to compare with aggressive, "pre-2010" grooves; easily handles a great variety of shots and lies.
DISTANCE CONTROL: Calibrating chips and pitches is a snap due to outstanding feel; extra spin helps on partial swings.
FEEL: Soft, classic forged sensation with plenty of feedback; nicely balanced weight makes it simple to alter swing length.
LOOK: Traditional compact head with non-glare satin finish on the clubface.
CONS
A few testers say that these feel a little light through the swing; not the most forgiving - you need to be fairly precise to make these work.
